Job Requirements

  • Valid driver's license and clean driving record
  • must be local and live within 60 miles of terminal
  • minimum three years of operations or logistics experience
  • prior supervisory experience
  • working knowledge of transportation and distribution
  • familiarity with fleet maintenance practices and inventory systems
  • proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Outlook, and general business software
  • strong organizational, leadership, and interpersonal skills
  • ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
  • ability to operate a forklift
  • ability to lift, carry, pull, and push objects of at least 50 pounds
  • ability to work at elevated heights

Job Duties

  • Act as the primary point of contact in the Terminal Manager's absence, exercising independent decision-making authority
  • supervise terminal staff, including administrative personnel and warehouse employees
  • assist in hiring, training, scheduling, coaching, and evaluating performance for all terminal staff
  • support driver safety training programs and monitor compliance with DOT, OSHA, and company safety regulations
  • enforce company policies and safety standards, initiating corrective actions when necessary
  • promote a culture of accountability, safety, and customer focus through visible leadership
  • manage delivery scheduling and dispatch operations to ensure on-time, efficient service
  • oversee receipt, storage, and transfer of fuel and lubricant products
  • maintain accurate inventory controls
  • coordinate maintenance and servicing of fleet vehicles and terminal equipment
  • maintain cleanliness, safety, and security of the terminal facility
  • communicate professionally with customers and collaborate with the Sales Department to resolve issues and support service needs
  • monitor and control operational costs
  • participate in budgeting and forecasting
  • participate in operational audits, reporting, and continuous improvement initiatives
  • perform additional duties as assigned by the Terminal Manager
