Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
  • three years related experience in retail supervision or management
  • proven incremental supervisory advancement
  • exceptional analytical, judgment, decision-making and communication skills
  • superior coaching, leadership and interpersonal skills
  • valid First-Aid/CPR card or ability to obtain within 30 days of hire
  • ability to perform physical demands of the job including lifting and standing for long periods
  • ability to work within a moderate noise environment
  • eligibility to work in the U.S.
  • willingness to comply with organization’s policies and applicable laws

Job Qualifications

  • ability to read and interpret hard data and metrics
  • ability to write routine reports and correspondence with tact and diplomacy
  • ability to speak effectively before customers or employees
  • knowledge and comfort using computer hardware and software including 10-key and web-based platforms
  • valid First-Aid/CPR card meeting OSHA and WISHA standards or ability to obtain within 30 days of hire
  • self-motivated, resourceful, creative, with high integrity and problem-solving ability
  • positive can-do attitude and ability to build effective working relationships

Job Duties

  • Perform all opening and closing procedures and responsibilities
  • ensure that the store audits are maintained at or above an acceptable level
  • ensure the loss prevention audits are maintained at an acceptable level
  • lead the semi-annual inventory
  • monitor all safe procedures and ensure all cash handling procedures comply with policy
  • oversee supply management and ordering processes to ensure smooth store operations and monitor expenses to stay within budget for monthly and annual reporting
  • ensure payroll expenses are aligned within budgeted parameters
  • delegate work to appropriate employees
  • ensure that all wage requests and payroll timekeeping is up to date for all employees
  • manage all employee reimbursements, petty cash, and travel-related expenses
  • ensure building and functions are properly maintained and submit and monitor maintenance requests
  • ensure security and safety systems are in working order including door locks, alarms, bank deposits, refunds, vouchers, and incident reports
  • participate actively in interviewing and onboarding new retail employees according to Goodwill’s recruitment guidelines
  • serve as the security captain working with management and Loss Prevention to protect company assets
  • deliver exceptional customer service to a variety of customers
