Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- 3-5 years retail leadership or equivalent customer service experience
- Full time availability including evenings, weekends, and holidays
- Ability to communicate effectively using written and verbal skills
- Proficiency in computer applications
- Ability to work under pressure while maintaining composure
- Strong organizational and detail-oriented skills
- Must be able to stand, walk, climb ladders, and lift up to 50 pounds frequently
- Must be over the age of 18
- Willingness to work in a busy retail environment with exposure to pets and noise

Job Duties
- Participates in recruiting, interviewing, hiring, coaching, and terminating associates
- Facilitates associate experience and development including reviews, recognition, and coaching for growth
- Addresses and administers associate complaints and grievances
- Prioritizes, delegates, and validates daily tasks to meet business and pet parent needs
- Leads associate and pet parent experience ensuring pet safety and health
- Responds to pet parent concerns through telephone, in person, or online channels
- Oversees PetSmart services including salon, training, hotel, day camp, live pet sales, and adoptions
- Evaluates operations to continuously improve experience and services
- Maintains store standards and ensures compliance with policies, procedures, and code of ethics
- Drives business growth by managing sales, shrink, labor, and expenses
- Coordinates with home office for work orders and purchase card allocations
- Works with services associates on productivity and scheduling
- Shares responsibility for store opening and closing procedures
- Conducts monthly service walks to ensure policy execution
- Takes immediate action for sick or injured pets
- Recognizes and celebrates associate engagement
- Communicates company information and priorities effectively
