Job Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree preferred but not required
- 3-5 years of retail leadership or relevant experience
- full time availability with flexible scheduling
- ability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays
- proficiency with computer applications
- excellent communication skills
- ability to handle pressure calmly
- strong organizational and leadership skills
- must be over 18 years old
- capable of lifting up to 50 pounds frequently and team lifting over 100 pounds when necessary

Job Duties
- Participates in recruiting, interviewing, hiring, coaching, and terminating associates
- facilitates associate development, including reviews, recognition, mentoring, and succession planning
- addresses and administers associate complaints and grievances
- prioritizes, delegates, and validates daily tasks for associates
- leads and coaches associates on pet safety and health processes
- coordinates staffing coverage for store experience activities
- communicates company priorities to associates
- leads the associate and pet parent experience at all levels
- responds to general and escalated pet parent concerns
- assists with reservations in hotels, salons, and training
- oversees PetSmart services, live pet sales, and adoptions
- evaluates operations for continuous improvement
- manages store events and marketing
- maintains store standards and compliance
- conducts monthly services walks
- takes immediate action for sick or injured pets
- shares store opening and closing responsibilities
- drives business growth and holds associates accountable for sales and shrink targets
- manages labor and supply expenses
- liaises with home office partners for store work orders and purchases
- works with service associates on productivity and scheduling
