Job Requirements

  • Must be 18 years or older
  • Authorized to work in the United States
  • High school diploma or GED
  • Establish and maintain food handlers permit
  • Adhere to Mercurys Coffee NDA policy
  • Strong verbal and customer service skills
  • Flexible schedule to fit the needs of the business
  • Developed critical thinking to make equitable decisions
  • Previous management experience in a retail environment
  • Previous ordering/receiving and inventory management is preferred
  • Solid understanding of P&L and ability to lead and manage staff
  • Must be a team player and perform well under pressure
  • Ability to recognize, understand, manage, and reason with emotions
  • Ability to perform repetitive bending, reaching, standing, and motion of the wrists and hands for 6-7 hours per day
  • Ability to lift 40 lbs. regularly
  • Fun, outgoing personality with excellent work ethic and a positive attitude

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED
  • 1+ years of leadership experience in coffee or food service
  • 1+ years of coffee/barista experience
  • Strong communication, problem-solving, and organizational skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment
  • WA State Food Worker Card
  • Previous management experience in a retail environment preferred
  • Previous ordering/receiving and inventory management preferred
  • Solid understanding of P&L and ability to lead and manage staff

Job Duties

  • Support the Store Manager in all daily operations, including service, quality, and team performance
  • Assist with hiring, training, and developing team members in alignment with company standards
  • Lead by example to ensure an exceptional guest experience and uphold brand standards
  • Help manage scheduling, inventory, ordering, and cash handling procedures
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and positive work environment
  • Ensure compliance with health, safety, and labor regulations
  • Act as the Manager on Duty when needed, making sound decisions to support smooth operations
  • Foster a fun, inclusive, and high-performing team culture
