Job Requirements
- Must be 18 years or older
- Authorized to work in the United States
- High school diploma or GED
- Establish and maintain food handlers permit
- Adhere to Mercurys Coffee NDA policy
- Strong verbal and customer service skills
- Flexible schedule to fit the needs of the business
- Developed critical thinking to make equitable decisions
- Previous management experience in a retail environment
- Previous ordering/receiving and inventory management is preferred
- Solid understanding of P&L and ability to lead and manage staff
- Must be a team player and perform well under pressure
- Ability to recognize, understand, manage, and reason with emotions
- Ability to perform repetitive bending, reaching, standing, and motion of the wrists and hands for 6-7 hours per day
- Ability to lift 40 lbs. regularly
- Fun, outgoing personality with excellent work ethic and a positive attitude
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- 1+ years of leadership experience in coffee or food service
- 1+ years of coffee/barista experience
- Strong communication, problem-solving, and organizational skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment
- WA State Food Worker Card
- Previous management experience in a retail environment preferred
- Previous ordering/receiving and inventory management preferred
- Solid understanding of P&L and ability to lead and manage staff
Job Duties
- Support the Store Manager in all daily operations, including service, quality, and team performance
- Assist with hiring, training, and developing team members in alignment with company standards
- Lead by example to ensure an exceptional guest experience and uphold brand standards
- Help manage scheduling, inventory, ordering, and cash handling procedures
- Maintain a clean, organized, and positive work environment
- Ensure compliance with health, safety, and labor regulations
- Act as the Manager on Duty when needed, making sound decisions to support smooth operations
- Foster a fun, inclusive, and high-performing team culture
