Job Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
  • Minimum 5 years of retail or grocery operations management experience
  • Minimum 4 years of progressive leadership experience
  • Ability to lead and develop team members
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Understanding of merchandising and sales strategies
  • Commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion principles

Job Duties

  • Provide direction related to store operations processes and conditions
  • Plan, direct, and supervise the day-to-day team activities
  • Select, train and develop team members and manage their performance
  • Develop strategies to improve customer service and drive store sales and profitability
  • Ensure customer needs are met and complaints are resolved quickly and effectively
  • Merchandise products and displays to maximize sales and profitability
  • Forecast staffing needs and develop recruiting strategies
  • Lead performance management activities and make decisions on career development
  • Communicate daily with team members and lead huddles
  • Uphold cultural standards and values through effective communication
  • Ensure compliance with food safety standards and local regulations
  • Deliver on key performance metrics including sales, shrink, labor, margin, profit, customer satisfaction, and safety
  • Act as a community partner to support the Meijer brand
