Job Requirements

  • 2-year degree from an accredited university in Business Administration, Hotel and Restaurant Management, or related major
  • 4 years experience in spa, guest services, front desk, sales and marketing, or related professional area
  • or 4-year bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Hotel and Restaurant Management, or related major
  • 2 years experience in spa, guest services, front desk, sales and marketing, or related professional area
  • Strong leadership and management skills
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work full time on-site at The Phoenician Resort in Scottsdale, Arizona
  • Proficiency in budget and payroll management
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and teams effectively
  • Commitment to delivering high-quality guest service
  • Legal authorization to work in the United States

Job Qualifications

  • 2-year degree from an accredited university in Business Administration, Hotel and Restaurant Management, or related major with 4 years relevant experience
  • or 4-year bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Hotel and Restaurant Management, or related major with 2 years relevant experience
  • Proven experience managing spa operations and staff
  • Strong understanding of spa sales and marketing strategies
  • Skilled in budget management and revenue optimization
  • Excellent leadership and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to deliver exceptional customer service
  • Experience in recruitment, training, and employee development
  • Knowledge of vendor selection and contract management
  • Ability to analyze guest feedback and implement service improvements

Job Duties

  • Manages and supervises all spa areas including programs, services, hours of operation, facilities and staff
  • Coordinates the delivery of spa services including salon, skin care, fitness and wellness, massage, program coordinating, reservations, reception desk and locker room areas
  • Directs and works with supervisory team and hourly employees to execute spa operations
  • Selects vendors and manages contracts for spa retail operations
  • Oversees retail product research, selection, purchasing, and display
  • Manages supply inventories and purchasing control including uniforms
  • Monitors spa sales and revenue to meet or exceed goals
  • Maintains cleanliness of spa and related equipment
  • Develops and implements spa promotions including group gifting, gift with purchase, co-op marketing and holiday events
  • Ensures spa services are included in resort marketing and advertising
  • Identifies and recommends new competitive products and enhancements
  • Monitors and manages payroll in conjunction with supervisory staff
  • Reviews operating statements, budgets, and payroll reports to manage areas of operation to budget
  • Controls spa expenses such as guest amenities, linens, products and supplies to meet budget goals
  • Leads guest hospitality efforts, maintaining excellent customer service and positive guest relations
  • Empowers employees to deliver outstanding customer service
  • Reviews feedback and satisfaction data to identify and implement improvements
  • Interviews, hires, and trains supervisory and hourly spa employees
  • Administers performance appraisal process and develops employee development plans
  • Encourages open communication, recognizes employee contributions and fosters a collaborative team environment
  • Strives to continually improve employee satisfaction and business results
