Job Requirements

  • Minimum 4 years of recent, from-scratch pastry/bakery experience or culinary certificate and 2 years of recent, from-scratch pastry/bakery experience
  • Proficient in all functions of the bakery and excellent technical knowledge
  • Must be comfortable working quickly and efficiently
  • Proven understanding of the science of pastry/baking
  • Knowledgeable of multiple advanced pastry/baking techniques and chocolate work
  • Ability to follow and convert recipes
  • Excellent food safety and HACCP knowledge
  • Strong social, written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to work under pressure and handle high-profile projects
  • Artistic and creative ability

Job Qualifications

  • Minimum 4 years of recent, from-scratch pastry/bakery experience or culinary certificate and 2 years of recent, from-scratch pastry/bakery experience
  • Proficient in all bakery functions and technical knowledge
  • Strong understanding of pastry science and advanced techniques
  • Knowledgeable of chocolate work, sauce making, bread baking, and specialty cakes
  • Ability to work quickly and efficiently
  • Excellent understanding of Food Safety and HACCP
  • Strong social, written, and verbal communication skills
  • Artistic and creative ability in pastry presentation
  • Organized and detail oriented

Job Duties

  • Assist the Chef with overall direction and team development
  • Lead daily operation and execution of pastry items including timing, quality, temperature, portion, and presentation
  • Work across various bakery locations and styles within the resort
  • Create high-quality bakery items using diverse ingredients
  • Maintain a clean and safe working environment
  • Follow and convert recipes accurately
  • Share knowledge and expertise with guests and team members
