Job Requirements
- High school diploma or GED
- 5 years experience in culinary, food and beverage, or related professional area
- Or 2-year degree from an accredited university in Culinary Arts, Hotel and Restaurant Management, or related major
- 3 years experience in culinary, food and beverage, or related professional area
- Availability for full-time schedule with open availability
- Previous hospitality experience preferred
- Must comply with company policies and standards
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Strong organizational and communication skills
- Willingness to lead and mentor employees
- Reliable and punctual work ethic

Job Duties
- Develops, designs, or creates new culinary applications or products
- Maintains food handling and sanitation standards
- Ensures employees have necessary supplies, equipment, and uniforms
- Performs culinary duties during high demand times
- Oversees preparation and production of food items
- Maintains cleanliness and sanitation in work areas
- Coordinates with Restaurant and Banquet departments for event service and timing
- Communicates with staff regarding areas needing attention and follows up
- Supports new menu, concept, and promotion initiatives
- Assists in food presentation and decorative displays
- Prepares and cooks foods for guests and special functions
- Checks quality of raw and cooked food products
- Ensures productivity and completion of assigned duties by employees
- Coordinates activities of cooks and food preparation workers
- Leads and influences staff with strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Handles employee questions and concerns
- Identifies developmental needs and coaches or mentors team members
- Conducts employee performance appraisals and provides feedback
- Communicates performance expectations per job descriptions
- Participates in employee recognition programs
- Monitors progress towards performance goals
- Conducts training when appropriate
- Follows goals and plans to organize and accomplish work
- Monitors staffing levels to meet service, operational, and financial objectives
