Job Requirements
- High school diploma or GED
- 5 years experience in culinary, food and beverage, or related area
- OR 2-year degree from accredited university in Culinary Arts, Hotel and Restaurant Management, or related major
- 3 years experience in culinary, food and beverage, or related professional area
- Ability to maintain food handling and sanitation standards
- Skills to lead and motivate a team
- Proficiency in managing kitchen operations and budgets
- Excellent communication and organizational abilities
- Willingness to work full-time in a fast-paced kitchen environment
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED with 5 years of culinary or related experience
- OR 2-year degree in Culinary Arts, Hotel and Restaurant Management, or related field with 3 years of experience
- Proven leadership and interpersonal skills
- Knowledge of food safety and sanitation
- Ability to manage budgets and inventory
- Experience in coordinating with multiple departments
- Strong communication and problem-solving skills
Job Duties
- Develops, designs, or creates new culinary applications, ideas, and products
- Maintains food handling and sanitation standards
- Ensures all employees have proper supplies, equipment, and uniforms
- Performs duties of culinary and kitchen staff during high demand
- Oversees production and preparation of culinary items
- Works with restaurant and banquet departments to coordinate service and event timing
- Leads shifts while preparing food and executing requests
- Handles employee questions and concerns
- Conducts employee evaluations and training
- Manages inventory and ordering of supplies according to budget
- Provides exceptional customer service and handles guest complaints
- Encourages teamwork, trust, and cooperation among staff
- Reports equipment malfunctions and participates in department meetings
