Job Requirements

  • current csea employee status subject to article 13 language change
  • permanent employee status of at least two years for voluntary lateral transfer applicants
  • restriction on multiple lateral transfers within one year
  • ineligibility during probationary periods
  • satisfactory recent performance evaluations with no excessive absenteeism or disciplinary actions
  • compliance with pre-employment physical, fingerprinting, drug screen, and tb test
  • adherence to bargaining unit policies

Job Qualifications

  • high school diploma or equivalent
  • experience in food service or kitchen supervision
  • proficiency in computerized record-keeping
  • knowledge of food safety standards
  • ability to supervise and lead a team
  • good communication and organizational skills
  • familiarity with school food service operations preferred

Job Duties

  • assist the site kitchen supervisor in planning, organizing, supervising, and coordinating snack bar and speed line food service activities
  • participate in and oversee cooking, preparation, storage, sales, and serving of a variety of foods
  • maintain computerized records related to food production
  • ensure compliance with food safety and health regulations
  • supervise and support kitchen staff in daily operations
  • manage inventory and supplies to meet operational needs
  • report and resolve operational issues promptly
