Job Requirements
- High school diploma or GED
- 3 years experience in security, loss prevention or related professional area
- Or 2-year degree from an accredited university in Criminal Justice or related major
- 1 year experience in security, loss prevention or related professional area
- Ability to conduct hazard and risk assessments
- Knowledge of safety regulations and emergency preparedness
- Strong communication and leadership skills
- Ability to train and manage staff
- Capable of handling conflict resolution and customer service
- Proficient in use of security and surveillance equipment

Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED with 3 years of experience in security, loss prevention or related professional area
- OR 2-year degree from an accredited university in Criminal Justice or related major with 1 year of experience in security, loss prevention or related field
- Experience in emergency procedures and fire prevention
- Knowledge of federal, state and local safety regulations
- Ability to conduct hazard and risk assessments
- Strong leadership and communication skills
- Experience in customer service and conflict resolution
- Familiarity with electronic security systems and CCTV
- Ability to maintain detailed logs, certifications and legal documents
- Skilled in training and staff development
Job Duties
- Assists the Director of Engineering in administering fire prevention programs and emergency preparedness
- Assists in conducting hazard and risk assessments at the property including quarterly safety audits, incident tracking, and hazard abatement
- Develops shutdown procedures ensuring all areas are secured appropriately
- Complies with federal, state and local laws and safety regulations
- Maintains proper key control protocols in loss prevention
- Develops monthly checklist for CCTV, alarmed doors, and duress alarms to ensure functionality
- Conducts patrols covering all interior and exterior property areas including inspection of recording systems
- Follows Duty of Care processes for guest and employee protection
- Handles complaints, settles disputes, and resolves grievances
- Implements risk monitoring and control action plans
- Oversees loss prevention operations including patrols, emergency response, investigations, shipping and receiving procedures, and electronic key system management
- Guides the Accident Prevention Committee efforts
- Oversees first aid programs for guests and employees
- Manages claims process monitoring general liability and worker's compensation cases
- Inspects and critiques loss prevention department’s performance to maintain professionalism and customer service
- Builds liaison with local law enforcement and emergency services
- Provides timely updates and information to executives and peers
