Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED
  • 3 years experience in security or loss prevention or related area
  • or 2-year degree from accredited university in Criminal Justice or related major
  • 1 year experience in security or loss prevention or related area
  • ability to manage security operations and emergency preparedness
  • proficiency in hazard identification and risk mitigation
  • strong interpersonal and dispute resolution skills
  • ability to work collaboratively with law enforcement and emergency services

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED
  • 3 years experience in security or loss prevention
  • or 2-year degree in Criminal Justice
  • 1 year experience in security or loss prevention
  • ability to conduct hazard and risk assessments
  • knowledge of federal, state and local safety regulations
  • strong leadership and communication skills
  • experience in emergency procedures and accident prevention

Job Duties

  • Assist in administering fire prevention programs and emergency preparedness
  • assist in conducting hazard and risk assessments including OSHA/Safety audits
  • assist in developing detailed shutdown procedures to secure property
  • comply with federal, state and local law and safety regulations
  • follow proper key control guidelines
  • develop monthly checklists for CCTV and security equipment functionality
  • incorporate inspection tours in property patrols
  • follow up on unusual activities affecting guests and employees
  • handle complaints, disputes and resolve conflicts
  • implement action plans for risk control
  • oversee loss prevention operations including patrol, emergency response and investigations
  • guide Accident Prevention Committee efforts
  • oversee first aid program for guests and employees
  • manage claims process for General Liability and Workers' Compensation cases
