Job Requirements
- High school diploma or GED
- Minimum 3 years of experience in guest services, front desk, housekeeping, or related area
- OR 2-year degree in Hotel and Restaurant Management, Hospitality, Business Administration, or related major
- At least 1 year of relevant professional experience
- Ability to open and close shifts
- Skilled in reviewing operational reports
- Knowledge of hotel operational functions
- Ability to operate department equipment and identify malfunctions
- Understanding of night audit procedures
- Compliant with loss prevention policies
- Strong communication skills
- Ability to manage employee schedules and attendance
- Customer service orientation
- Ability to investigate accidents and resolve issues
- Willingness to work full-time on-site
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED with 3 years experience in guest services, front desk, housekeeping or related area
- OR 2-year degree in Hotel and Restaurant Management, Hospitality, Business Administration or related field with 1 year experience in guest services, front desk, housekeeping or related area
- Strong understanding of hotel operations including Front Desk, Housekeeping, and Concierge
- Competence in managing staff schedules and performance
- Knowledge of night audit procedures and loss prevention policies
- Ability to handle guest feedback and resolve complaints effectively
- Basic operational skills with departmental equipment
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Job Duties
- Open and close Front Desk and Housekeeping shifts ensuring completion of shift checklist
- Run and review critical room operations reports
- Understand and support Recreation, Laundry, Housekeeping, Bell Staff, AYS, Front Desk, and Concierge operations
- Operate department equipment and report malfunctions
- Ensure employees have proper supplies and uniforms
- Understand night audit procedures and utilize reports
- Comply with loss prevention policies and procedures
- Communicate performance expectations to employees
- Handle employee questions and concerns
- Schedule employees according to business demands and track attendance
- Supervise same-day selling procedures to maximize room revenue and occupancy
- Verify accuracy of room rates
- Use budgets and reports to assist in managing Room Operations
- Participate in managing departmental expenses
- Assist in investigating employee and guest accidents
- Use guest information tracking systems to enhance guest recognition
- Address guest feedback and resolve complaints
- Review guest satisfaction results with employees
