Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Minimum of 2 years experience in food service management, preferably in a fast-paced, high-volume setting
  • Strong understanding of food safety and sanitation requirements
  • Proven leadership and staff development experience
  • Availability to work flexible hours including weekends and holidays
  • Ability to handle responsibilities involving the management of alcohol
  • Effective communication skills
  • Ability to use basic office and sales reporting software

Job Duties

  • Manage all front of house and kitchen activities
  • Focus on the food by ensuring food quality, recipe adherence and portion control
  • Optimize food and labor costs to maximize profitability
  • Lead, recruit, train and develop the Smashburger team
  • Maintain adherence to company policies and health/sanitation standards
  • Maintain merchandising, display, and inventory standards
  • Manage funds, inventory, purchasing, scheduling and payroll
  • Assist in forecasting and budgeting through sales performance analysis
  • Address routine operational issues and escalate complex problems
  • Handle the responsible management of alcohol
