Job Requirements

  • Previous food and beverage management or supervisory experience required
  • ability to walk and stand throughout an eight-hour shift
  • ability to lift, balance and carry large, oval dining room service trays
  • ability to organize and prioritize under pressure
  • knowledge of basic sanitation
  • knowledge of computer operations and ordering procedures
  • ability to communicate effectively with guests, co-workers, and supervisors
  • ability to absorb large amounts of information quickly including service procedures, menus, dining room floor plan, and register operation
  • ability to maintain excellent attendance and punctuality

Job Qualifications

Job Duties

  • Assist manager in all aspects of restaurant operations
  • respond immediately and graciously to guest service issues and report to the restaurant manager
  • perform all job duties to maximize guest service
  • conduct themselves professionally with awareness of guest views
  • ensure a congenial dining room atmosphere
  • be knowledgeable of all menu and general guest information
  • adapt to change, staffing, and procedures
  • be knowledgeable in special service procedures and paperwork
  • maintain regular attendance and punctuality
  • communicate and maintain teamwork with co-workers and supervisors
  • handle all guest service issues graciously
  • offer input to manager on staff performance
  • perform duties of host, server, server assistance, and food runner when needed
  • understand policies and procedures in the employee handbook
  • perform tasks requested by food and beverage management
  • accept additional tasks and responsibilities as assigned by manager
