Job Requirements

  • Previous food and beverage management or supervisory experience required
  • Ability to walk and stand for eight-hour shifts
  • Ability to lift and carry large dining room trays
  • Ability to organize and prioritize tasks under pressure
  • Knowledge of sanitation standards
  • Knowledge of computer operations and ordering procedures
  • Ability to communicate effectively
  • Ability to maintain excellent attendance and punctuality
  • Must be punctual and maintain professional appearance
  • Ability to perform multiple roles including host, server, and food runner
  • Ability to adapt to changing staffing and procedures

Job Qualifications

  • Previous food and beverage management or supervisory experience
  • Knowledge of basic sanitation
  • Ability to communicate effectively with guests, co-workers, and supervisors
  • Ability to absorb large amounts of information quickly including service procedures, menus, dining room floor plan, register operation
  • Ability to maintain excellent attendance and punctuality
  • Ability to walk and stand throughout an eight-hour shift
  • Ability to lift, balance and carry large, oval dining room service trays
  • Ability to organize and prioritize under pressure
  • Knowledge of computer operations and ordering procedures
  • Ability to adapt to change and new situations

Job Duties

  • Assist manager in all aspects of restaurant operations
  • Respond immediately and graciously to guest service issues and report to restaurant manager
  • Perform all job duties toward maximizing guest service
  • Conduct themselves in a professional manner with awareness of guest view
  • Ensure a congenial dining room atmosphere
  • Be knowledgeable of all menu and general guest information
  • Adapt to change, new situations, changes in staffing and procedures
  • Be knowledgeable in special service procedures and paperwork
  • Maintain regular attendance and punctuality in complete uniform
  • Maintain communication and teamwork with co-workers and supervisors
  • Handle all guest service issues immediately and graciously
  • Offer input to the manager on staff work performance
  • Perform duties of host, server, server assistance, food runner when needed
  • Understand policies and procedures as outlined in employee handbook
  • Perform any and all tasks requested by food and beverage management
  • Additional tasks and responsibilities assigned by manager as needed
