This job posting is for a restaurant managed and operated by an independent franchisee, not by Jack in the Box Inc. As such, if you are hired, your employer will be the independent franchisee, who is responsible for all employment-related matters at the restaurant, including but not limited to setting job requirements, handling hiring and firing decisions, disciplinary actions, wages, supervision, staffing, and scheduling. Job Requirements
- Must be at least 18 years old
- ability to stand and walk 85-95% of shift
- ability to lift and carry 10-65 lbs
- ability to operate restaurant equipment and computer keyboards
- willingness to travel to other restaurants and business locations
- ability to handle fast-paced environment
- effective English speaking, reading, and writing skills
- physical ability to move freely throughout the restaurant
- must complete assistant manager training
- ServSafe certification
- must possess valid driver’s license and insurance
- demonstrates ethical behavior and integrity
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma, G.E.D., or equivalent required
- associate's or bachelor's degree preferred
- minimum 1+ years experience as shift leader or assistant manager for internal promotion candidates
- minimum 3 years assistant manager experience with P&L responsibility for external recruits
- must be 100% certified in all workstations
- completion of assistant manager training classes required
- ServSafe certification mandatory
- proficient in English communication
- excellent interpersonal and analytical skills
- good organization and planning abilities
- valid driver’s license and insurance
- ability to perform basic math
- self-starter with integrity
- working knowledge of personal computers and software
Job Duties
- Recruits, selects, trains, develops, and evaluates restaurant employees
- monitors staffing levels and ensures adherence to training systems
- motivates and inspires team members
- manages daily restaurant operations
- ensures exceptional guest experiences and consistent food quality
- monitors compliance with systems, procedures, and food safety regulations
- handles guest concerns professionally
- analyzes operational and financial performance
- develops and executes sales and profitability action plans
- manages costs and operates within budgets
- maintains positive brand image
- serves as role model for guest service
- performs other related duties as assigned
