Job Description

This job posting is for a restaurant operated by an independent franchisee and not directly by Jack in the Box Inc. The franchisee is responsible for all employment-related matters, including hiring, firing, wages, staffing, and scheduling, so the successful candidate will be employed by the franchisee itself. Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • prior leadership experience in a customer service environment
  • certified in all workstations
  • ServSafe certified
  • ability to perform basic math operations
  • excellent communication skills in English
  • valid driver’s license and insurance
  • ability to stand and walk for most of the shift
  • ability to lift 10-65 lbs
  • ability to operate restaurant equipment and computer
  • availability to travel between locations

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma, G.E.D or equivalent
  • associate's or bachelor's degree preferred
  • minimum 1 year experience as Shift Leader or 1 year as Assistant Manager (internal promote)
  • minimum 3 years experience as Assistant Manager with some P&L responsibility (external recruit)
  • at least 18 years old
  • completion of Assistant Manager training
  • ServSafe certification
  • ability to speak, read, and write English effectively
  • excellent interpersonal skills
  • basic math skills
  • proven analytical and organizational skills
  • valid driver’s license and insurance
  • experience using personal vehicle for business tasks
  • integrity and ethical behavior

Job Duties

  • Recruits, selects, trains, develops, and evaluates restaurant employees
  • monitors staffing levels and implements training systems
  • maintains a friendly, fun, clean, and safe work environment
  • manages daily restaurant operations and guest service excellence
  • responds to and resolves guest complaints professionally
  • analyzes operational and financial performance reports
  • develops and executes action plans to increase sales and profitability
