Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED
  • 3 years experience in food and beverage, culinary, or related professional area
  • or 2-year degree from accredited university in food service management, hotel and restaurant management, hospitality, business administration, or related major
  • 1 year experience in food and beverage, culinary, or related area
  • strong communication skills
  • leadership abilities
  • availability to work full time onsite
  • ability to manage multiple tasks
  • knowledge of food safety standards
  • ability to handle customer service challenges

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED with 3 years experience in food and beverage or related area
  • or 2-year degree in Food Service Management, Hotel and Restaurant Management, Hospitality, Business Administration, or related major with 1 year experience

Job Duties

  • Assist in managing restaurant team
  • handle employee questions and concerns
  • monitor employee performance
  • provide feedback based on service behavior observations
  • supervise daily shift operations
  • stand in for Director of Restaurants or Restaurant Manager as needed
  • participate in department meetings communicating goals
  • ensure employees have proper supplies, equipment, and uniforms
  • communicate food quality and service issues to Chef and Restaurant Manager
  • ensure compliance with restaurant policies and procedures
  • monitor alcohol beverage service compliance
  • assist in achieving budget goals
  • perform employee duties as necessary
  • open and close restaurant shifts
  • interact with guests to obtain feedback
  • supervise staffing levels ensuring service and financial objectives
  • encourage excellent customer service
  • handle guest problems and complaints
  • strive to improve service performance
  • set positive example for guest relations
  • assist in review of guest feedback
  • meet and greet guests
  • supervise ongoing training initiatives
  • use available training tools
  • communicate performance expectations
  • coach and counsel employees on performance
