Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED
  • minimum 3 years experience in food and beverage, culinary, or related area
  • OR 2-year degree in related field
  • minimum 1 year experience in food and beverage or culinary area
  • ability to handle employee questions and concerns
  • capability to monitor and evaluate employee performance
  • skills to provide feedback and coaching
  • capacity to supervise daily operations
  • knowledge of restaurant policies and legal compliance

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED with 3 years experience in food and beverage, culinary, or related professional area
  • OR 2-year degree from accredited university in Food Service Management, Hotel and Restaurant Management, Hospitality, Business Administration, or related major with 1 year experience
  • strong leadership and supervisory skills

  • ability to manage budgets and operational goals

Job Duties

  • Handles employee questions and concerns
  • monitors employees to ensure performance expectations are met
  • provides feedback to employees based on observation of service behaviors
  • assists in supervising daily shift operations
  • supervises restaurant and all related areas in absence of director or manager
  • participates in department meetings to communicate goals
  • ensures all employees have proper supplies, equipment, and uniforms
  • communicates food quality and service issues to chef and manager
  • ensures compliance with restaurant policies and standards
  • monitors alcohol beverage service compliance
  • assists in achieving or exceeding budgeted goals
  • performs duties of restaurant employees as necessary
  • opens and closes restaurant shifts
  • interacts with guests to obtain product and service feedback
  • supervises staffing levels to meet service and financial objectives
  • encourages excellent customer service
  • handles guest problems and complaints
