Job Description
This job opportunity is offered by a restaurant owned and operated by an independent franchisee, not directly by Jack in the Box Inc. This means that the independent franchisee will be your actual employer, responsible for all employment-related matters such as hiring, firing, scheduling, wages, and supervision. Job Requirements
- Must be at least 18 years old
- Complete Assistant Manager training
- Speak, read, and write effectively in English
- Ability to stand and walk 85%-95% of shift
- Ability to lift 10-65 lbs
- Ability to operate restaurant equipment and motor vehicle
- Willingness to travel between locations
- Ability to manage multiple demands and priorities
- Strong decision-making and organizational skills
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma, G.E.D., or equivalent required
- Associate's or Bachelor's degree preferred
- Minimum 1 year experience as Shift Leader or Assistant Manager for internal promotion
- Minimum 3 years assistant manager experience with P&L responsibility for external recruits
- Must be ServSafe certified
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Ability to perform basic math functions
- Valid driver’s license and insurance
- Working knowledge of computer software
- Demonstrated integrity and ethical behavior
Job Duties
- Recruit, select, train, develop, and evaluate restaurant employees
- Monitor staffing levels and ensure training systems are implemented
- Manage daily restaurant operations to ensure excellence in service and food quality
- Respond promptly and professionally to guest concerns and complaints
- Use management information tools to analyze performance and implement improvement plans
- Develop and execute sales and profitability action plans
- Ensure compliance with food safety, cleanliness, and brand standards
