Job Requirements
- high school diploma or ged
- 3 years experience in food and beverage, culinary, or related professional area
- or 2-year degree in food service management, hotel and restaurant management, hospitality, business administration, or related major
- 1 year experience in food and beverage, culinary, or related professional area

Job Duties
- assist in managing restaurant team by handling employee questions and concerns
- monitor employees to ensure performance expectations are met
- provide feedback to employees based on observation of service behaviors
- assist in supervising daily shift operations
- supervise restaurant and related areas in absence of director or manager
- participate in department meetings by communicating departmental goals
- ensure employees have proper supplies, equipment and uniforms
- communicate issues regarding food quality and service levels to chef and manager
- assist in ensuring compliance with restaurant policies, standards and procedures
- monitor alcohol beverage service compliance with local laws
- assist in achieving or exceeding budgeted goals
- perform duties of restaurant employees as necessary
- open and close restaurant shifts
- interact with guests to obtain feedback on product quality and service
- supervise staffing levels to meet guest service and financial objectives
- encourage employees to provide excellent customer service
- handle guest problems and complaints
- strive to improve service performance
- set positive example for guest relations
- assist in reviewing comment cards and guest satisfaction results
