Job Requirements

  • High school diploma
  • some college or degree preferred
  • 1-2 years managerial experience preferred, preferably in food service industry
  • ability to stand and walk extensively for up to 8 hours
  • ability to lift up to 50 pounds
  • ability to work irregular hours under heavy pressure
  • good communication skills
  • ability to manage multiple tasks
  • knowledge of safety and sanitation standards
  • ability to train and lead a team

Job Duties

  • Assist the General Manager in planning and analyzing administration and operations manpower
  • ensure all menu items are prepared, portioned, and presented properly in compliance with health and company standards
  • perform or assist with all functions for all positions in the restaurant when required
  • ensure compliance with productivity and service standards through management of well-trained staff
  • ensure proper management and maintenance of facility and equipment including safety and sanitation
  • maintain inventory levels of food and non-food items through proper ordering and usage monitoring
  • conduct staffing activities including hiring, training, performance reviews, and recommending salary increases
  • manage accurate financial data including payroll, cash receipts, food costs, and operating expenses
  • attend management meetings and contribute to achieving objectives during supervision periods
  • anticipate and resolve system breakdowns to maximize guest satisfaction
  • ensure thorough training and development of supervised non-exempt personnel
