Job Requirements
- high school diploma or GED
- 3 years experience in food and beverage or culinary or related professional area or 2-year degree in food service management, hotel and restaurant management, hospitality, business administration or related major
- 1 year experience in food and beverage or culinary or related professional area
- ability to work flexible hours including weekends and holidays
- strong interpersonal skills
- ability to handle guest inquiries and complaints professionally
- knowledge of local laws regarding alcohol service
- physical ability to stand and walk for extended periods
- commitment to uphold company policies and legal obligations
Job Qualifications
- high school diploma or GED with 3 years experience in food and beverage or culinary or related professional area
- 2-year degree in food service management, hotel and restaurant management, hospitality, business administration or related field with 1 year experience
- strong leadership and communication skills
- ability to work in fast-paced environment
- excellent customer service skills
- knowledge of food safety and sanitation standards
- proficiency in supervising and coaching staff
Job Duties
- handle employee questions and concerns
- monitor employees to ensure performance expectations are met
- provide feedback to employees based on observation of service behaviors
- assist in supervising daily shift operations
- supervise restaurant and related areas in absence of director or manager
- participate in department meetings
- ensure all employees have proper supplies, equipment and uniforms
- communicate issues regarding food quality and service levels
- assist in ensuring compliance with restaurant policies and standards
- monitor alcohol beverage service compliance
- assist in achieving budgeted goals
- perform duties of restaurant employees as necessary
- open and close restaurant shifts
- interact with guests to obtain feedback
- supervise staffing levels
- encourage excellent customer service
- handle guest problems and complaints
- strive to improve service performance
- set positive example for guest relations
- assist in review of guest satisfaction results
- meet and greet guests
- supervise ongoing training initiatives
- use available training tools for employees
