Job Requirements

  • high school diploma or GED
  • minimum 1-3 years experience in food and beverage or related area
  • ability to supervise and lead teams
  • strong communication skills
  • knowledge of local health and safety regulations
  • availability to work flexible hours including peak meal periods
  • commitment to guest satisfaction
  • proficiency with restaurant management software is a plus

Job Qualifications

  • 3 years experience in food and beverage, culinary, or related professional area
  • or 2-year degree from accredited university in food service management, hotel and restaurant management, hospitality, business administration, or related major
  • 1 year experience in food and beverage, culinary, or related professional area

Job Duties

  • assist in management of restaurant team
  • handle employee questions and concerns
  • monitor employee performance
  • provide feedback on service behaviors
  • supervise daily shift operations
  • oversee restaurant and related areas in absence of senior managers
  • communicate departmental goals
  • ensure employees have proper supplies, equipment, and uniforms
  • communicate food quality and service issues
  • ensure compliance with restaurant policies
  • monitor alcohol service
  • assist in budget goals
  • perform duties of restaurant employees as needed
  • open and close restaurant shifts
  • interact with guests for feedback
  • supervise staffing levels
