Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED
  • 3 years experience in food and beverage, culinary, or related professional area
  • OR 2-year degree from accredited university in Food Service Management, Hotel and Restaurant Management, Hospitality, Business Administration, or related major
  • 1 year experience in food and beverage, culinary, or related professional area
  • ability to work full time
  • eligibility to work in the United States

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED with 3 years of experience in food and beverage, culinary, or related professional area
  • OR 2-year degree from accredited university in Food Service Management, Hotel and Restaurant Management, Hospitality, Business Administration, or related major with 1 year experience in food and beverage or related professional area

Job Duties

  • Handle employee questions and concerns
  • monitor employees to ensure performance expectations are met
  • provide feedback to employees based on observation of service behaviors
  • assist in supervising daily shift operations
  • supervise restaurant and related areas in absence of Director or Restaurant Manager
  • participate in department meetings communicating departmental goals
  • ensure all employees have proper supplies, equipment and uniforms
  • communicate to Chef and Restaurant Manager any issues regarding food quality and service
  • assist in ensuring compliance with restaurant policies, standards and procedures
  • monitor alcohol beverage service compliance with local laws
  • assist in achieving or exceeding budgeted goals
  • perform duties of restaurant employees as necessary
  • open and close restaurant shifts
  • interact with guests to obtain feedback on product quality and service levels
  • supervise staffing levels to meet guest service, operational and financial objectives
  • encourage employees to provide excellent customer service
  • handle guest problems and complaints seeking assistance as necessary
  • strive to improve service performance
  • set a positive example for guest relations
  • assist in review of comment cards and guest satisfaction results with employees
  • meet and greet guests
  • supervise on-going training initiatives
  • use on the job training tools for employees
  • communicate performance expectations according to job descriptions
  • coach and counsel employees regarding performance
