Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED
  • Three years experience in food and beverage, culinary, or related area
  • Or associate degree in Food Service Management, Hospitality, or related field
  • One year experience in food and beverage or culinary area
  • Ability to communicate effectively
  • Leadership skills
  • Knowledge of food safety standards
  • Ability to work flexible shifts
  • Compliance with local alcohol service laws

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED with 3 years experience in food and beverage or culinary field
  • Or 2-year degree in Food Service Management, Hotel and Restaurant Management, Hospitality, Business Administration, or related major with 1 year experience
  • Strong leadership and supervisory skills
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
  • Knowledge of food safety and sanitation standards
  • Ability to handle guest complaints effectively
  • Proficiency in managing budgets and operational goals
  • Experience in staff training and development
  • Ability to work flexible hours and peak meal periods
  • Understanding of local laws regarding alcohol service

Job Duties

  • Handle employee questions and concerns
  • Monitor employee performance
  • Provide feedback on service behaviors
  • Assist in supervising daily shift operations
  • Supervise restaurants and related areas in absence of senior management
  • Participate in department meetings to communicate goals
  • Ensure employees have proper supplies, equipment, and uniforms
  • Communicate issues regarding food quality and service to Chef and Manager
  • Ensure compliance with restaurant policies and standards
  • Monitor alcohol service compliance
  • Assist in achieving budget goals
  • Perform duties of restaurant employees as needed
  • Open and close restaurant shifts
  • Interact with guests for feedback
  • Supervise staffing to meet service and financial objectives
  • Encourage excellent customer service
  • Handle guest complaints and problems
  • Strive to improve service performance
  • Set positive guest relations example
  • Review guest feedback with employees
  • Meet and greet guests
