Job Requirements

  • Minimum of 5 years experience in restaurants with at least 3 years in restaurant management
  • bachelor's degree in hospitality or hotel/restaurant management is desirable
  • proven experience in large restaurant management
  • hands-on experience with restaurant management software
  • excellent communication skills both written and verbal
  • strong leadership, motivation, and employee development abilities
  • ability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays
  • successful reference checks, background check, and drug test clearance
  • valid work authorization for the US
  • physical ability to work in high volume, noisy, and varying environmental conditions
  • able to lift up to 50lbs
  • able to stand or walk for extended periods
  • able to use a computer for extended periods

Job Qualifications

  • Minimum of 5 years experience in restaurants with at least 3 years in restaurant management
  • bachelor's degree in hospitality or hotel/restaurant management is desirable
  • proven experience as a manager in large restaurants
  • well-developed interest in food and beverage with ability to recall ingredients and dishes
  • hands-on experience with restaurant management software such as OpenTable, Resy, and SevenRooms
  • proven people management, motivation, and development skills
  • experience managing union staff is a plus
  • experience opening a restaurant or bar including training and setting standards
  • passion for delivering highest standards consistently with guest-centric approach
  • strong problem-solving skills
  • excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • financial acumen and business management abilities
  • successful reference, background check, and drug test clearance prior to hire
  • ability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as scheduled
  • valid work authorization for the US

Job Duties

  • Work closely with Spiegelworld and resort partners to ensure an expertly coordinated launch of the restaurant
  • coordinate SOPs for the front of house and back of house activities to ensure all standards are being met and train staff appropriately
  • oversee all F&B operations for restaurant and theater, ensuring an integrated experience
  • actively engage in antiracist commitment and internal practices by participating in learnings and discussions around equity, diversity, inclusion, and accessibility
  • create a work environment that promotes teamwork, performance feedback, recognition, mutual respect, and employee satisfaction
  • be visible in the restaurant operation, actively participating in service and daily operations
  • maintain high levels of customer satisfaction by building relationships with guests, resolving complaints, and encouraging employees to do the same
  • use tools such as UD and Avero to analyze business trends and employee performance
  • oversee the restaurant's beverage revenue including cost, ordering, inventory, expenses
  • mentor mixologists in their development and understanding of beverage operations
  • oversee implementation of operational systems such as order guides, recipe guides, and checklists
  • lead strategic beverage training for bartenders focusing on consistency, engagement, and retention
  • hold bi-weekly meetings with the Executive of Beverage to align with seasonal cocktail menu changes and SOPs
  • lead cocktail development initiatives
  • participate in marketing activities with General Manager and Marketing
  • develop ideas to maximize revenue and reduce expenses in conjunction with General Manager
  • select, train, evaluate, lead, motivate, and coach all employees to meet cultural and core standards
  • actively develop employees' food and beverage knowledge through education sessions
  • manage and maintain CGS inventory
  • ensure resources for efficient operation are in place through routine inventories and inspections
  • perform pre- and post-service checks and communicate daily specials and VIP guest info
  • assist in sales and marketing activities and stay updated on F&B trends
  • create one-of-a-kind nights setting example for staff
  • perform other duties as assigned by manager
  • all duties performed according to departmental and company policies and procedures
