Job Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in engineering
- Professional Engineer (PE) license in Utah
- Fundamentals of Engineering (FE) licensure
- Valid driver's license
- Knowledge of civil engineering principles, theories and practices
- Ability to interpret engineering documents and blueprints
- Proficiency in scientific and technical research
- Experience with engineering data processing applications
Job Qualifications
- Professional Engineer (PE) license in Utah
- Utah State Licensure in the Fundamentals of Engineering (FE)
- Valid driver's license
- Knowledge of principles, theories, and practices of civil engineering
- Ability to read and interpret maps, plats, charts, plans, and blueprints
- Ability to perform scientific and technical research
- Ability to use engineering data processing application programs
Job Duties
- Assist in coordination of active transportation and region safety efforts
- Discuss, review and interpret plans and specifications
- Design, develop, and conduct a variety of research projects
- Prepare engineering and design documents
- Represent UDOT Region Two on engineering/planning teams for regional studies and other planning efforts, traffic and safety studies, and project teams
- Perform and review crash analyses and present findings at region and UDOT-wide meetings
- Assist and coordinate with UDOT Traffic Operations Center (TOC) and others on traffic modeling, studies, and planning efforts
- Respond to public inquiries related to traffic and safety
- Lead or mentor staff
- Complete other duties as assigned
