Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • previous experience in recreation or event services
  • ability to communicate effectively
  • customer service skills
  • ability to lift up to 50 pounds
  • willingness to work evenings and weekends
  • valid work authorization

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • experience in recreation services or event coordination
  • strong communication skills both verbal and written
  • ability to supervise staff and manage facilities
  • customer service orientation
  • experience in theater or performance venue environments preferred
  • proficiency with word processing and business software

Job Duties

  • Assist in the planning, organizing, implementing, and evaluating of community service and recreation programs
  • interact with participants, parents, and community members
  • oversee the use of facilities ensuring participants follow established policies and procedures
  • prepare community service and recreation publicity related to assigned programs and disseminate approved publicity
  • communicate effectively both orally and in writing
  • prepare reports and maintain files and records related to programs
  • determine and implement appropriate actions in emergency and stressful situations
  • assist in training, supervision, and evaluation of assigned contract or casual staff
