Job Requirements
- Master's degree in Event Management, Hospitality, Business, or related field from an accredited institution with at least 18 graduate credit hours related to event planning and creative industries
- professional experience in event planning and creative industries
- ability to effectively communicate verbally and in writing
- ability to understand, speak, and write English professionally
- strong organizational skills
- computer skills
- ability to analyze information and solve routine and complex problems
- willingness to travel locally
- capability to perform desk work and type
- ability to hear, speak, stand, walk, climb stairs, reach overhead, kneel or stoop
- ability to lift 10 or fewer pounds
- valid driver’s license and acceptable DMV record if driving for work
- adherence to Liberty University’s Christian doctrinal statement and lifestyle standards
Job Qualifications
- Master's degree in Event Management, Hospitality, Business, or related field with at least 18 graduate credit hours related to event planning and creative industries
- professional experience in event planning and creative industries
- preferred MFA or Doctoral degree in a related field
- Certified Meeting Professional (CMP) certification
- ServSafe certification
- teaching experience in higher education
- extensive professional experience in meeting, event, exhibition, hospitality, wedding, or creative industries
Job Duties
- Create, modify, and teach material from the approved curriculum in classroom and creative lab settings
- assist students in achieving completion of objectives and learning outcomes
- provide regular and timely feedback to students
- participate in school retention and recruitment efforts
- advise students regarding academics, attendance, and behaviors
- maintain and report student grades and attendance in accordance with university policies
- strictly adhere to Liberty University policies and represent the University in an exemplary manner
- collaborate effectively as a team member embracing Liberty University’s Christian mission
