Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Minimum of 2 years of relevant pastry or bakery experience
  • Knowledge of food safety standards and hygiene regulations
  • Ability to work flexible hours including nights, weekends, and holidays
  • Strong organizational and multitasking skills
  • Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
  • Physical ability to stand for extended periods and handle kitchen equipment safely

Job Qualifications

  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in pastry or bakery, preferably in a high-volume production environment
  • Solid knowledge of baking ingredients, measuring techniques, mixing methods, kitchen equipment, and baking times
  • Proactive and highly organized
  • Ability to manage a substantial workload effectively
  • Works independently and collaboratively in a team setting
  • Able to complete tasks within tight deadlines
  • Accurately monitor and control wastage
  • Flexible schedule availability including nights, weekends, and holidays

Job Duties

  • Bake and prepare pastry items according to specifications and recipes
  • Monitor product wastage and complete assigned tasks across multiple stations within deadlines
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of the immediate work area at all times
  • Comply with all food safety and hygiene regulations outlined in the food safety management system
  • Report any food safety-related concerns to the manager or hygiene/food safety team
  • Ensure adequate supply levels at the cooking stations
  • Store ingredients and food items according to food safety standards
  • Follow the direction of the Pastry Chef and Executive Chef
  • Foster a positive and cooperative work environment
  • Support in staff training and perform additional duties as assigned
