Job Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in hospitality and tourism, parks and recreation, or related field
  • Minimum of three years of recent park management experience
  • Ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing
  • Experience with social media and marketing
  • Ability to manage leases and contracts
  • Experience in staff supervision and training
  • Capable of handling public information and outreach duties

Job Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in hospitality and tourism, parks and recreation, or related field
  • Minimum of three years of recent park management experience
  • Strong customer service background
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Experience in social media management and marketing
  • Ability to manage contracts and leases
  • Skilled in staff training and supervision
  • Knowledge of reservation management systems
  • Capability to analyze budgets and prepare reports
  • Conflict management skills
  • Experience in community outreach and volunteer program management

Job Duties

  • Plan, organize, coordinate, and supervise the activities of administrative, technical, or operations staff
  • Serve as Lease Manager overseeing all minor leases for the Parks Department
  • Assist with budget analysis and preparation for assigned program areas
  • Represent the department in contract negotiation and contractor performance monitoring
  • Manage operations of two special assessment districts
  • Train staff and present informational sessions to agency and partner departments
  • Develop and lead permit processes including commercial film and special use permits
  • Lead social media, website content, and public communication efforts
  • Interpret policies and develop procedures related to reservation management
  • Develop marketing strategies and execute community outreach programs
  • Implement and manage reservation management software and provide staff training
  • Monitor performance and customer service protocols
  • Lead volunteer and community outreach activities
  • Analyze use trends and recommend updates to rates and policies
  • Build partnerships with nonprofits and other governmental agencies
  • Serve as liaison for legislative and procedural updates
  • Perform other duties as required
