Job Description
CLEAR is a pioneering technology company dedicated to transforming the way people experience travel, entertainment, and daily life through secure and frictionless identity verification. With over 30 million passionate members and partnerships across airports, stadiums, and other venues worldwide, CLEAR’s innovative identity platform unlocks easier, more secure, and more seamless access to the things that matter most. The company’s mission revolves around creating experiences that feel effortless, enabling customers to bypass traditional lines and security checks through advanced biometric authentication, making everyday moments feel like magic. CLEAR continuously expands its footprint and enhances its technology to ensure reliability and convenience in diverse environments.
The role of Assistant Operations Manager at CLEAR places you at the core of airport operations excellence, enabling the delivery of outstanding customer service, security, and sales performance. Reporting directly to the General Manager, the Assistant Operations Manager will be an integral part of the airport leadership team, responsible for managing and driving daily floor operations at the station. This position is highly hands-on and customer-facing, requiring spending approximately 80% of time on the floor engaging directly with customers, stakeholders, and the CLEAR team. You’ll be expected to uphold and enforce CLEAR and TSA policies rigorously, ensuring the highest standards of security and operational integrity.
In this dynamic role, your leadership will involve supervising shift briefings, managing schedules including breaks and rotations, and fostering an environment where the team thrives through coaching, mentoring, and training to meet defined sales and customer service goals. You will be accountable for overseeing asset control and device management, requiring a good understanding of CLEAR’s technology and the ability to troubleshoot operational issues swiftly. Building and maintaining strong relationships with airport officials, TSA personnel, and airline partners will be key to reinforcing CLEAR’s presence and operational success.
The Assistant Operations Manager will also play a critical role in incident prevention and response, ensuring that any security or service concerns are addressed promptly and effectively. Active participation in station management team meetings is essential for aligning with broader operational objectives and continuous improvement initiatives. The position demands excellent interpersonal skills, adaptability in a fast-changing environment, and strong organizational capabilities. Candidates should be prepared for non-traditional work hours, including weekends, holidays, mornings, and evenings.
CLEAR values diversity, inclusion, and reasonable accommodation, ensuring an equitable workplace where all employees can thrive. Compliance with all required airport and government security screenings, including SIDA badge eligibility and federal background checks, is mandatory for this role. Working at CLEAR offers a unique opportunity to be part of a forward-thinking company dedicated to reshaping how people move and experience the world around them, blending cutting-edge technology with exceptional customer service in a stimulating environment.
