Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Previous food and beverage management experience
  • Ability to multi-task and work in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong communication and analytical skills
  • Ability to supervise and lead teams effectively
  • Willingness to work flexible hours including weekends and holidays
  • Knowledge of and compliance with health and safety regulations
  • Ability to maintain professional relationships and promote open communication

Job Qualifications

  • Minimum 2 years of experience in food and beverage management preferably with Hyatt
  • Experience in a union environment preferred
  • Familiarity with food and beverage systems such as Simphony, EMC, RealTime, SevenRooms and Kronos
  • Strong organizational skills
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule based on business needs
  • Proven leadership skills with high energy and entrepreneurial spirit
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills
  • Excellent interpersonal and administrative skills
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office suite including Word and Excel
  • Demonstrated ability to provide exceptional customer service and improve operational profitability

Job Duties

  • Oversee multiple food and beverage outlets operations
  • Schedule and forecast staffing needs
  • Train, coach and mentor employees
  • Ensure compliance with federal, state and local laws as well as Hyatt standards
  • Conduct opening and closing operations including end-of-day reports and inventory requisitions
  • Perform daily walk-throughs to maintain standards and health regulations compliance
  • Supervise staff presence on the floor during service hours
  • Resolve guest complaints and respond to online feedback
  • Manage payroll and scheduling weekly
  • Follow up on projects and interdepartmental requests
  • Assist with hiring, onboarding and training new employees
  • Act as liaison for food and beverage spaces within the property
