Job Requirements
- Minimum high school diploma or equivalent
- 1-2 years of experience in hotel operations leadership
- experience working in a unionized hotel environment preferred
- excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
- knowledge of hotel PMS systems
- availability to work flexible shifts including nights, weekends, and holidays
- strong problem-solving and conflict resolution skills
Job Qualifications
- Minimum 1-2 years of hotel operations leadership experience preferred
- experience working within a unionized NYC hotel environment is strongly preferred
- strong understanding of hotel operational workflows
- familiarity with IWA-covered departments a plus
- warm, people-first leadership style aligned with Hyatt values
- strong communication, conflict-resolution, and coaching skills
- ability to thrive in a fast-paced, highly guest-centric environment
- proficiency with hotel PMS systems (Opera/Opera Cloud systems experience a plus)
- flexible schedule, including nights, weekends, and holidays as needed
Job Duties
- Support the daily oversight of front office, housekeeping, and other operational areas as assigned
- foster a service-focused, inclusive culture that reflects Hyatt's purpose of caring for people so they can be their best
- maintain operational excellence by monitoring staffing, service delivery, and departmental performance
- partner with department leaders to coach, support, and develop colleagues
- assist with guest recovery, problem resolution, and service follow-up
- ensure compliance with brand standards, hotel policies, safety protocols, and regulatory requirements
- participate in scheduling, payroll review, inventory controls, and reporting
- support all shift procedures and act as manager-on-duty as needed
- collaborate cross-functionally to maintain efficient, guest-ready operations
