Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED or 2-year degree from an accredited university in hotel and restaurant management, hospitality, business administration, or related major
  • Two years experience in food and beverage, culinary, guest services, front desk, housekeeping, or related professional area
  • Or at least three years of experience in two of the following areas: food and beverage, culinary, guest services, front desk, housekeeping, or related professional area
  • Ability to lead and manage multiple departments
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to handle guest complaints and resolve conflicts
  • Availability to work full time
  • Willingness to work in Arlington, Virginia

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED or 2-year degree from an accredited university in hotel and restaurant management, hospitality, business administration, or related major
  • Two years experience in food and beverage, culinary, guest services, front desk, housekeeping, or related professional area
  • Experience running a shift, scheduling, performance management, problem solving, and day-to-day operation management preferred
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Knowledge of OSHA regulations
  • Ability to handle guest problems and complaints effectively

Job Duties

  • Lead daily front desk, housekeeping, or guest services shift operations
  • Assist in supervising guestrooms and public space inspection programs
  • Attend pertinent operational and departmental meetings
  • Supervise daily shift compliance with housekeeping policies
  • Support all front office areas during manager absences
  • Open and close restaurant, bar, or food and beverage outlet shifts
  • Ensure meeting and event rooms are set according to event documentation and customer requirements
