Job Requirements
- Be at least 18 years of age
- have a basic knowledge of math, weights and measures
- a minimum of 2 years professional experience
- proven leadership experience
- 2-3 years of grocery retail experience in meat department highly preferred
- dependable and reliable
- outgoing and friendly behavior
- positive attitude
- ability to interact with customers
- ability to work flexible schedule including nights, weekends and holidays
- good communication skills
- ability to take direction and participate in a team environment
- perform general housekeeping and sanitation tasks
- adhere to safety, health and weights and measures regulations
- capable of standing up to 4 continuous hours and 8 hours per shift
- able to work in temperature controlled area
- possess good vision for using equipment
- ability to lift/carry products from 25 to 90 lbs
- ability to use pallet jack
- able to move racks and tables within weight limits
Job Qualifications

- capable of standing up to 4 hours continuously and 8 hours per shift
- possess good vision for using sharp knives and equipment
- ability to lift and carry products between 25 to 90 lbs
- able to use a pallet jack and move heavy weight pallets and racks
Job Duties
- Assist the meat and seafood manager in managing and merchandising the department for maximum productivity and profit
- responsible for ordering and inventory controls, product quality, and supervision of the meat and seafood team
- effectively coordinate production, merchandising, and sales through ongoing planning, direction, goal setting, communication, and teamwork
- assist in leading a team that delivers the finest quality of product, highest level of service, and greatest customer experience
- assist in hiring, teaching, training, and developing the meat and seafood team
- knowledge of weekly ad items and assist with inventory and ordering
- enforce department practices regarding receiving, stocking, and unloading of product
- unload and sort store deliveries, operate and maintain meat and seafood equipment
- ensure execution of all company health, safety and sanitation guidelines and regulations
- validate team adherence to procedures
