Job Requirements

Valid driver's license which meets Five Rivers MetroParks' insurance carrier guidelines
ability to successfully complete a criminal background check and drug screening test prior to employment
willingness and ability to work a varied schedule, including evenings and most weekends
strong customer service and interpersonal skills
basic proficiency in budget management and event coordination
effective communication and team leadership abilities

Job Qualifications

Associate's degree in business management or a closely related field
5 years of customer service experience in a retail setting or other equivalent experience
willingness and ability to work a varied schedule, including evenings and most weekends
experience working in marketing, communications, or a closely related field is preferred

Job Duties

Provides operational support for the market by overseeing daily opening and closing procedures, delivering exceptional customer service, and promptly addressing vendor and customer concerns
takes a lead role in forming partnerships that further the strategic initiatives of MetroParks while also having a positive impact on cost recovery
leads a team that plans, budgets annually and coordinates logistics for special events and programming
leads efforts to promote market vendors to the community
schedules and promotes events on the market's social media platforms by creating content and coordinating joint promotions with the marketing department and market vendors
participates in the selection process for new vendors
performs administrative and clerical tasks, including maintaining attendance and performance records, managing budgets, processing accounts payable/receivable, and completing other office duties as assigned
serves as a point of contact for vendors, visitors, and community partners
responds promptly to inquiries, concerns, and feedback
supports the recruitment, onboarding, orientation of vendors, and seasonal staff
helps plan and coordinate special events, programs, and community outreach activities at the market
monitors facility cleanliness, maintenance needs, and safety concerns
reports or resolves issues as appropriate
assists with financial transactions, budget tracking, and data collection for reporting
promotes a positive, inclusive, and customer-focused experience for all visitors
acts as the market manager in their absence
maintains confidentiality of sensitive information and records
monitors compliance with market rules, health/safety regulations, and agency policies
works assigned schedule with consistent, punctual attendance, and is available to work outside normal hours as required
