Job Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • At least 2 years of related experience
  • Ability to work varied days and times including weekends
  • Effective communication skills
  • Ability to supervise and train staff
  • Knowledge of food safety standards
  • Commitment to customer service excellence

Job Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • At least 2 years of relevant experience
  • ServSafe Certification preferred
  • Experience in food service management
  • Ability to work varied shifts including weekends

Job Duties

  • Assist in directing the daily operations of college residential dining facilities
  • Assist in supervising activities of assigned staff including student and full-time employees
  • Assist in administering systems for inventorying, purchasing, pricing, producing, displaying, merchandising, marketing, advertising, promoting, and selling products
  • Assist in ensuring fast, high-quality, safe, and cost-efficient food production and service
  • Assist in meeting the department’s customer service objectives by analyzing unit operations
  • Assist in the strategic planning process and development of departmental policies, procedures, standards, goals, and budgets
  • Assist in developing new, creative recipes and menus to improve food quality, presentation, creativity, and value
