Job Requirements
- Minimum high school diploma or equivalent
- 2-3 years of experience in restaurant management
- availability to work flexible hours including weekends
- ability to stand for extended periods up to ten hours
- ability to lift up to 50 pounds safely
- effective reading and writing skills
- manual dexterity to use small tools and kitchen equipment
- willingness to work in all restaurant positions as needed
- commitment to fostering a positive team environment
Job Qualifications
- At least 2-3 years of restaurant management experience
- knowledge of restaurant operations
- proven leadership and problem-solving skills
- ability to manage and motivate teams
- experience with employee training and development
- understanding of health and safety regulations
- Serve Safe Food and Serve Safe Alcohol certifications preferred
- strong communication and interpersonal skills
- ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment
Job Duties
- Ensure timely, friendly service according to company guidelines
- cultivate a culture aligned with Flynn Applebee's core values
- respond immediately to guest complaints and resolve issues
- complete required table visits to prioritize guest contact
- maintain departmental inventory levels
- perform line checks to ensure product quality and presentation
- schedule employees to meet sales demands
- ensure safety and security programs are maintained
- promote restaurant cleanliness and sanitation
- perform routine maintenance and report repairs
- recruit and refer potential team members and management candidates
- support training procedures for new managers
- conduct employee orientation and training
- use One-on-One and performance documentation for employee development
- provide regular feedback and address performance issues
- ensure compliance with company policies and legal regulations
- control costs in assigned department
- conduct food and liquor inventories as required
- prepare and submit accurate daily paperwork
- maintain sanitation standards per Health Department and company policies
- serve as a role model for staff
- develop skills in store-related technology
- assist in all restaurant positions as needed
- utilize Management Development Program for leadership growth
