Job Requirements
- High school diploma or GED
- 3 years experience in guest services, front desk, housekeeping or related area
- OR 2-year degree in hotel and restaurant management, hospitality, business administration or related field
- 1 year experience in guest services or related area
- Ability to open and close shifts and complete shift checklists
- Understanding of room operations reports and night audit procedures
- Knowledge of loss prevention policies
- Skilled in employee performance communication
- Experience scheduling and tracking employee attendance
- Ability to manage room revenue and occupancy
- Familiarity with budget and payroll reports
- Capability to investigate accidents and handle guest complaints
- Proficient in guest information tracking systems
- Excellent interpersonal and guest service skills
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED with 3 years of experience in guest services, front desk, housekeeping or related area
- OR 2-year degree in hotel and restaurant management, hospitality, business administration or related field with 1 year of relevant experience
- Knowledge of room operations and hotel management systems
- Strong communication and leadership skills
- Ability to schedule and manage staff effectively
- Proficiency in handling guest relations and problem resolution
- Familiarity with budget management and revenue optimization

- Ability to operate relevant department equipment
Job Duties
- Open and close front desk and housekeeping shifts ensuring completion of shift checklists
- Run and review critical information contained in room operations reports
- Understand the functions of recreation, laundry, housekeeping, bell staff, AYS, front desk, and concierge/guest services operations
- Operate department equipment as necessary and report malfunctions
- Ensure employees have proper supplies and uniforms
- Understand night audit procedures and utilize reports as necessary
- Comply with loss prevention policies and procedures
- Communicate performance expectations to employees according to job descriptions
- Handle employee questions and concerns
- Schedule employees based on business demands and track time and attendance
- Supervise same day selling procedures to maximize room revenue and occupancy
- Verify accuracy of room rates to maximize revenue opportunities
- Use budgets, operating statements and payroll reports to assist in room operations management
- Participate in managing departmental expenses to meet budget goals
- Understand the impact of room operations on overall property financial goals
- Assist investigation of employee and guest accidents
- Use guest information tracking system to support repeat guest recognition
- Set a positive example for guest relations
- Interact with guests to obtain feedback and handle complaints
- Review comment cards and guest satisfaction results with employees
