Job Requirements
- High school diploma or GED
- 3 years experience in guest services, front desk, housekeeping, or related area
- OR 2-year degree in Hotel and Restaurant Management, Hospitality, Business Administration, or related major
- 1 year experience in guest services, front desk, housekeeping, or related area
- Strong communication skills
- Leadership and supervisory abilities
- Knowledge of budgeting and operating reports
- Ability to operate department equipment
- Understanding of night audit procedures
- Compliance with loss prevention policies
- Ability to handle employee questions and concerns
- Scheduling and attendance tracking skills
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED with 3 years of experience in guest services, front desk, housekeeping, or related field
- OR 2-year degree in Hotel and Restaurant Management, Hospitality, Business Administration, or related major with 1 year of experience
- Knowledge of front desk and housekeeping operations
- Strong communication and leadership abilities
- Familiarity with budgeting and revenue management principles
- Ability to operate department equipment and understand night audit reports
- Commitment to loss prevention policies and procedures
- Experience in scheduling and managing staff
- Excellent guest service and problem-solving skills
Job Duties
- Open and close Front Desk shifts and Housekeeping while completing assigned shift checklists
- Run and review critical room operations reports
- Understand functions of Recreation, Laundry, Housekeeping, Bell Staff, AYS, Front Desk, and Concierge/Guest Services
- Operate department equipment and report malfunctions
- Ensure employees have proper supplies and uniforms
- Understand and apply night audit procedures
- Comply with loss prevention policies
- Communicate performance expectations and handle employee concerns
- Schedule employees based on business demands and track attendance
- Supervise same day selling procedures to maximize room revenue
- Verify accuracy of room rates
- Use budgets, operating statements, and payroll reports for Room Operations management
- Manage departmental controllable expenses to meet budget goals
- Understand the financial impact of Room Operations
- Assist in investigating employee and guest accidents
- Use guest information tracking systems for repeat guest recognition
- Set positive examples for guest relations
- Interact with guests to gather feedback and resolve complaints
- Review comment cards and guest satisfaction results with employees
