Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED
  • 3 years experience in guest services, front desk, housekeeping, or related area
  • OR 2-year degree in related field
  • 1 year experience in guest services, front desk, housekeeping, or related area
  • ability to handle guest complaints effectively
  • capability to operate department equipment
  • ability to communicate performance expectations
  • skill in scheduling employees and tracking attendance
  • understanding of night audit procedures
  • familiarity with loss prevention policies
  • willingness to assist in accident investigations
  • strong interpersonal skills

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED with 3 years experience in guest services, front desk, housekeeping, or related area
  • OR 2-year degree in Hotel and Restaurant Management, Hospitality, Business Administration, or related major with 1 year experience
  • strong communication and leadership skills
  • knowledge of room operations and guest service best practices
  • ability to manage employee schedules and performance
  • understanding of loss prevention policies
  • proficiency in budget and payroll report usage

Job Duties

  • Opens and closes Front Desk and Housekeeping shifts ensuring completion of shift checklists
  • runs and reviews critical room operations reports
  • understands and supports functions in Recreation, Laundry, Housekeeping, Bell Staff, AYS, Front Desk, Concierge, and Guest Services
  • operates department equipment and reports malfunctions
  • ensures employees have proper supplies and uniforms
  • comprehends night audit procedures and uses reports as necessary
  • complies with loss prevention policies
  • communicates performance expectations based on job descriptions
  • handles employee questions and concerns
  • schedules employees to meet business demands and tracks time and attendance
  • supervises same day selling procedures to maximize room revenue and occupancy
  • verifies room rates accuracy
  • uses budgets and payroll reports to manage operations
  • participates in controlling departmental expenses
  • assists in investigating employee and guest accidents
  • supports guest tracking systems to recognize repeat guests
  • sets a positive example for guest relations
  • interacts with guests to collect feedback and address concerns
  • reviews guest satisfaction results with employees
