Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED
  • 3 years experience in guest services, front desk, housekeeping or related area
  • OR 2-year degree from accredited university in relevant field
  • 1 year experience in guest services, front desk, housekeeping or related area
  • Ability to operate department equipment
  • Knowledge of night audit procedures
  • Strong communication skills
  • Ability to schedule and manage employee time
  • Understanding of budget management
  • Commitment to guest satisfaction
  • Ability to handle guest and employee concerns
  • Comply with loss prevention policies

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED with 3 years of experience in guest services, front desk, housekeeping, or related area
  • OR 2-year degree from accredited university in Hotel and Restaurant Management, Hospitality, Business Administration or related major with 1 year of experience in guest services, front desk, housekeeping, or related area

Job Duties

  • Open and close Front Desk and Housekeeping shifts ensuring completion of shift checklist and duties
  • Run and review critical room operations reports
  • Understand and support Recreation, Laundry, Housekeeping, Bell Staff, AYS, Front Desk and Concierge/Guest Services operations
  • Operate department equipment and report malfunctions
  • Ensure proper supplies and uniforms for employees
  • Understand night audit procedures and utilize necessary reports
  • Comply with loss prevention policies
  • Communicate performance expectations to employees based on job descriptions
  • Handle employee questions and concerns
  • Schedule employees based on business demands and track time and attendance
  • Supervise same-day selling procedures to maximize room revenue and occupancy
  • Verify accuracy of room rates
  • Assist in managing budgets, operating statements, and payroll reports
  • Participate in controlling departmental expenses
  • Understand impact of Room Operations on overall financial goals
  • Assist in investigation of employee and guest accidents
  • Use guest information system to support guest recognition program
  • Set positive examples for guest relations
  • Interact with guests to obtain feedback, handle problems, and complaints
  • Review guest satisfaction results and comment cards with employees
