Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED
  • Minimum 3 years experience in guest services, front desk, housekeeping, or related area OR 2-year degree in hotel and restaurant management, hospitality, business administration or related major with minimum 1 year relevant experience
  • Ability to operate departmental equipment and manage maintenance reports
  • Knowledge of night audit procedures and loss prevention policies
  • Strong communication and leadership skills
  • Ability to effectively schedule and manage staff attendance
  • Capable of handling guest feedback and employee concerns professionally
  • Must be willing to work full time in a management role
  • Must be able to work on-site at The Ritz-Carlton San Francisco

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED with 3 years experience in guest services, front desk, housekeeping, or related area
  • OR 2-year degree in hotel and restaurant management, hospitality, business administration, or related major with 1 year experience in guest services, front desk, housekeeping, or related area
  • Knowledge of rooms operations, housekeeping, recreation, laundry, and guest services functions
  • Understanding of night audit procedures and loss prevention policies
  • Ability to communicate performance expectations and handle employee concerns
  • Experience with scheduling and tracking employee time and attendance
  • Strong guest service and problem-solving skills
  • Familiarity with budgets, operating statements and revenue management principles
  • Ability to interpret operational reports and manage departmental expense controls

Job Duties

  • Support day-to-day activities of rooms operations including housekeeping, recreation, laundry, staff, AYS and concierge/guest services
  • Assist in guest arrival and departure procedures
  • Maintain cleanliness and operational standards of the property
  • Open and close front desk shifts
  • Ensure completion of shift checklists and other assigned duties
  • Review room operations reports and manage departmental equipment
  • Schedule employees according to business demands and track attendance
  • Supervise same day selling procedures to maximize room revenue and occupancy
  • Verify accuracy of room rates and use budgets and payroll reports to manage operations
  • Participate in managing controllable expenses to meet budget goals
  • Assist in investigating employee and guest accidents
  • Manage guest information tracking and repeat guest recognition program
  • Handle guest feedback, problems, and complaints effectively
  • Set a positive example for guest relations
  • Assist in reviewing comment cards and guest satisfaction results with employees
