Job Requirements
- high school diploma or GED
- 3 years experience in food and beverage, culinary, or related area
- or 2-year degree in Food Service Management, Hotel and Restaurant Management, Hospitality, Business Administration or related major
- 1 year experience in food and beverage, culinary, or related area
- ability to work full time
- willingness to work onsite at Orlando World Center Marriott
- excellent communication skills
- leadership abilities
- knowledge of food safety regulations
- ability to handle guest complaints professionally

Job Duties
- handle employee questions and concerns
- monitor employees to ensure performance expectations are met
- provide feedback to employees based on observation of service behaviors
- assist in supervising daily shift operations
- supervise restaurant and related areas in absence of higher management
- communicate departmental goals during meetings
- ensure employees have proper supplies, equipment and uniforms
- communicate food quality and service level issues
- ensure compliance with restaurant policies and procedures
- monitor alcohol beverage service compliance
- assist in achieving or exceeding budgeted goals
- perform duties of restaurant employees as needed
- open and close restaurant shifts
- interact with guests to obtain feedback
- supervise staffing levels to meet service, operational and financial goals
- encourage employees to provide excellent customer service
- handle guest problems and complaints
- strive to improve service performance
