Job Requirements

  • minimum one year experience in food service as a leader
  • previous experience with ordering and inventory control
  • strong organizational skills
  • ability to work well with others in a cooperative environment where teamwork and communication is essential
  • ability to use computer keyboard, monitor, mouse, telephone, and various office equipment continuously
  • ability to lift and carry up to 30 pounds frequently
  • ability to lift and carry up to 60 pounds occasionally
  • ability to stand or walk for duration of shift
  • ability to bend, stoop, squat, kneel, climb stairs or ladder
  • ability to reach above shoulder height frequently
  • ability to talk and hear to communicate with customers
  • finger and hand dexterity with ability to grasp and hold items of different sizes
  • vision ability - close, distance, peripheral vision and depth perception
  • ability to read register screen and product and shelf labels
  • perform other tasks assigned by the department manager

Job Duties

  • ensure a high standard or customer service for kitchen personnel according to established customer service vision and expectations
  • ability to monitor and/or maintain quality control standards
  • work together with employees on shift to create a positive work environment
  • knowledge of food preparation and presentation methods, techniques, and quality standards
  • assist in ordering supplies/ingredients for department
  • assist in scheduling and supervision of department personnel
  • assist in overseeing the receipts or orders and verifying invoice accuracies and product quality on all deliveries
