Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED
  • Three years experience in the food and beverage, culinary, or related professional area
  • Or two-year degree from an accredited university in Food Service Management, Hotel and Restaurant Management, Hospitality, Business Administration, or related major
  • One year experience in the food and beverage, culinary, or related professional area
  • Ability to work full time
  • Ability to supervise and lead teams
  • Ability to communicate effectively
  • Basic knowledge of budgeting and payroll
  • Willingness to perform hourly job functions when necessary

Job Qualifications

  • Strong leadership and communication skills
  • Knowledge of food safety and sanitation standards
  • Ability to analyze operational data and solve problems

  • Experience in staff supervision and training

Job Duties

  • Assist in the ordering of food and beverage supplies, cleaning supplies and uniforms
  • Supervise daily food and beverage shift operations ensuring compliance with all policies, standards and procedures
  • Support and supervise monthly self-inspection programs
  • Operate department equipment as necessary and report malfunctions
  • Supervise staffing levels to meet guest service and financial objectives
  • Encourage and build mutual trust, respect, and cooperation among team members
  • Develop specific goals and plans to prioritize, organize and accomplish work
  • Communicate areas needing attention to staff and follow up to ensure understanding
  • Coordinate cleaning programs in all food and beverage areas
  • Follow property-specific second effort and recovery plans
  • Stay available and approachable for team members and guests
  • Demonstrate knowledge of brand-specific service culture
  • Provide services above and beyond for customer satisfaction and retention
  • Serve as a role model demonstrating appropriate behaviors
  • Manage day-to-day operations ensuring quality and meeting customer expectations
  • Take proactive approaches in dealing with guest concerns
  • Review comment cards and guest satisfaction results with employees
  • Respond in a timely manner to customer service department requests
  • Provide information to supervisors and co-workers via phone, email or in person
  • Analyze information and evaluate results to solve problems
  • Perform hourly job functions if necessary
  • Extend professionalism and courtesy to team members
  • Comprehend budgets, operating statements and payroll progress reports
